Roy Shiels is an independent musician & songwriter from the seaside town, of Rush, Co. Dublin, Ireland. He is multi instrumentalist, playing guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano & a singer. He writes, performs, produces & records in an alternative rock style. 


In 2009 he released his debut recording, a 5 song EP entitled "The Teenage Storm". And ten years later, released his debut, full length, studio album "Big Kiss" (15-JULY-2019.)

His earliest musical memory is listening to Buddy Holly's "Everyday'"on scratchy vinyl with his brother, Gavin,  on a stormy evening at age 7.

He has been influenced by many bands & artists from many styles throughout his life but sites Smashing Pumpkins, Slint, Tom Petty, Soundgarden, Weezer, Hole, Tom Waits, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Beach Boys, My Bloody Valentine as his biggest!

His all time favourite record (& pretty much the reason he is a musician today) is Smashing Pumpkins' "Melon Collie And The Infinite Sadness".
